Anthropic has unveiled Claude for Life Sciences, a specialized AI system designed to transform the drug discovery process. Built atop the company's foundational Claude model, this new offering integrates seamlessly with popular lab platforms like Benchling, PubMed, and 10x Genomics. The system aims to assist researchers at every stage—from literature review and hypothesis generation to data analysis and regulatory submissions.

"Now is the threshold moment for us where we've decided this is a big investment area," said Eric Kauderer-Abrams, Anthropic's newly appointed head of biology and life sciences. The company envisions Claude becoming as ubiquitous in life sciences as AI has become in coding, with strategic partnerships including KPMG, Deloitte, and cloud providers AWS and Google Cloud accelerating adoption.
